FAQ

What kind of chocolate do you use?

We use premium Belgian chocolate because, frankly, chocolate is not the place to cut corners.

Donniebar is made from chef-driven recipes using quality chocolate and thoughtfully selected ingredients. We don’t formulate our bars around the cheapest possible ingredients or bulk them up with unnecessary fillers and lower-cost fats simply to make a bar cost less to produce.

We care about responsible sourcing, too. The cocoa used in the chocolate we work with comes through established sourcing programs focused on traceability, responsible cocoa production and support for farming communities.

We’re not a bean-to-bar company, and we’re not going to pretend we personally trekked into the rainforest to meet a cacao farmer named Jean-Claude.

We simply believe chocolate should taste like chocolate, and that using better ingredients makes a better bar.

We don't compete on being the cheapest chocolate bar. We compete on making the one you actually want to eat.

What happens before the chocolate gets to us?

We take quality seriously long before a Donniebar ever reaches your hands. Our chocolate is produced in an SQF-certified, FDA-registered facility with rigorous quality controls and batch-level traceability. That means the ingredients and production process are monitored from sourcing through finished product.

We will tell you this: the chocolate matters to us, the people who grow the cocoa matter to us, and we care very much about what goes into every bar.

Then we make it into a brand label you can actually understand.

Intentional

We were tired of confusing labels and decoding cocoa percentages. We are no filler. No fluff. Just Belgian chocolate made correctly.
